The company has a proven track-record in development of floating and bottom fixed projects, so far with local presence in Norway, South Korea, and Sweden. As an early mover in new markets the company continues to explore areas and mature projects.

Deep Wind Offshore has a project pipeline of more than 10 GW, with 2 GW under exclusive development in South Korea.

The business model is based on joint ownership with strong partners, with established partnerships in South Korea with bp and in Norway with EDF Renewables.

Management

Knut Vassbotn and Hans Petter Øvrevik founded the company back in 2020.
With more than 20 years' experience from the industry, the founders have facilitated some of the first floating wind projects in US and been involved in floating wind projects in South Korea, Scotland and other European countries

Passionate

The management are passionate about industrialising offshore wind and making offshore wind a commercial success in Norway and Internationally. To achieve this they continually push Deep Wind Offshore to develop projects with scale and open up new markets.

Knutsen OAS

Knutsen Group is a fully integrated shipping company with operation, newbuilding supervision, chartering and project development in-house. The Company is the largest shuttle tanker operator in the world, and a major operator of LNG carriers.  Knutsen Group has offices all across the world and has a strong presence in South-Korea.

Haugaland Kraft

Haugaland Kraft is a leading Norwegian utility and technology company. Their main activities are the production, transmission, and sales of electrical power, as well as the development and operation of optical fibre grids. Haugaland Kraft and its subsidiaries have ambitions to become one of Norway’ s leading producers of renewable energy.

SKL

Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL) is one of Norway’s larger renewable energy producers. The company is based in the western part of Norway, and has a portfolio of several TWh produced from impoundment hydropower facilities. SKL also owns a hydrogen company, with an aim to develop hydrogen from renewable hydropower.
