Successful supplier meeting in Haugesund

On Monday 23rd of May, Deep Wind Offshore & EDFR, Norwegian Offshore Wind and Næringsforeningen in Haugesund invited to a successful supplier meeting at Høvleriet.

-It was a good start to the week, and nice to see that so many suppliers in our region are attending and so pationate about offshore wind. We have great faith in the our chances to win an area on the Utsira Nord project and believe that we can deliver a cost-effective project with a high degree of local content. It will be important for the region, and we already see now that the suppliers in the region are well equipped to execute their portion of a wind development project, says Project Director for Deep Wind Offshores Norwegian projects, Kjetil Jacobsen.

Around 40 participants at the breakfast-meeting

At the supplier meeting, Kjetil Jacobsen presented Deep Wind Offshore and the Joint Venture's plans for the Norwegian continental shelf. Torsten Frost, Deputy Commercial Manager at EDF Renewables presented EDF Renewables' international work highlighting the opportunities present for the Norwegian supplier industry within their project portfolio. Lars Inge Hellestveit Vice President Yard Services presented Aibel's transformation from being a service company with exclusively oil and gas contracts, to becoming a leading service company with large deliveries to renewable projects. In addition, Mads Arild Vedøy Project Manager gave us an insight into the work of Norwegian Offshore Wind.
